Educational bulding - Visiting the ground classrooms.

On this post show a little about the ground floor of this building.
The Metal Structure is simples for this section. It´s made by a compousing pilar with metal and fill with concrete. This mix allowed the pilars keep the shape of 15x15cm and be inside the dry-walls.
For the basewalls, the constructor decided to do a masonry till the level of the windows. This is justifyed because it´s easy to flood in the summer tropical storms.
On the video bellow i show a little about the window compousing frame with the metal brise-soleil.

Educational building - First visit to the construction site

On this post i will share a visit on construction site on July 2010.
So far we´re following the schedule and we can see trougth this video the metal structure already consolidated.
It´s exciting to see the cladding in Pre-fab concrete posicioned and showing us the real form of the building and it´s inumerous architecture details.

Educational Building

A video for introducing the main project i am working with this year.
This project is about a expansion programa for a very know traditional school of the city of São Paulo.
This consist of a new building with 30 new classrooms for 350 students. The architecture program includes a new coverd patio for playing games, a new refeitorium and a whole new administration bulding.
The construction time schedule was very tight because it has to deal with the rest of the school working normally and not bothering the daily routine. For that, we have to choose to build it in a 18 months schedule. For  that, was choosen metal structure and a cladding in pré-fac concrete painels to achieve this planning.
It´s quite impressive the velocity of construction with these materials, and needs a good pré-planning schedule and project to minimize whatever decisions in the construction site.
This fisrt post i will introduce the project using a 3d model developed in Autocad + Google Sketchup.

Minha casa minha vida!

I am really excited about the project of the brazilian architect Lelé ( João Figueiras Lima) for the Goverment social housing program "Minha casa minha vida".
Is the first time that i can realize the designing process is including so many aspects of the real life like Climate conditions, Site assemblymen, The weather, raw materials suply and others. All of that ally with a naive and warm design.

A simple design. However i can see the essence of a good architecture on this.

Hi people. I am using this blog to show a little of my job and interesting news or personal critics related with architecture.
Will start with the project that i´ve being developing this year. It's a new Bulding in a very important Traditional Scholl in the city of São Paulo, Brazil.
